about aromachimie

Lacroix Chimie SA was founded by Merle Lacroix in 1983 in France. The early years of trading Lacroix Chimie were concentrated on the petrochemical industry in the USA. The main activity of the company was to subcontract the plants and provide technology and expertise to production stage. The company rapidly became a significant contractor in the industry and expanded its activities to petroleum in Europe and the Middle East by extending the operations from technical to commercial.

In 1994 after substantial success in the petroleum industry the company developed its activities to contracting and investing in the mineral industry in the CIS countries by establishing Lacroix Chimie CIS. In 1995 Lacroix Chimie SA became Lacroix Chimie Group. The group was involved in major mineral projects in the CIS region, to extend to mineral commercial activities the sister company Lacroix Chimie CIS was merged with one of the region’s significant companies Aroma Holdings. Aroma was one of the key producers of mineral products in the CIS region. The partnership gained a further triumph for both firms and from September 2011 the trading of these two organizations was merged with the parent company and have successively been undertaken in the name of Aroma Chimie.

AromChimie is now divided into three divisions, Technical Petroleum based in Dubai, UAE, Technical Mineral based in Almaty, CIS, and Commercial Agricultural Petroleum based in London, United Kingdom. Today these activities represent an important element in our achievements and subsidiary companies have been established to strengthen these rewards.
Currently AromaChimie engages an important position as a manufacturing investor in the Petroleum, Petrochemical, Agricultural, Mineral and Chemical industry products. We are actively practicing a strategy of developing our interests in and beyond these industries.

Merle Lacroix was born in 1945 in MÂCON, France. He was a very enthusiastic and an opportunist boy from the early age. He was raised in a well-educated family and for further education he was sent to the USA. As an influence from his chemistry teacher father he completed a chemistry degree in the United States. He started his career right after his degree by working in the petroleum industry in the USA. He then decided to develop his career by starting a business and to implement his family’s chemistry experience to the world. Such was demand that Merle quickly began developing petroleum plants in the USA. This was laying the foundation of AromaChimie Group that would eventually become one of world’s most consistent producers.
